leave a comment »

“I am profoundly grateful to the FBI, the Israeli Police investigators and anyone else who helped lead to the arrest of this hacker. I deeply appreciate my fans who have provided us with pertinent information and continue to do so regarding leaks of my music. Like any citizen, I have the right to privacy. This invasion into my life – creatively, professionally, and personally remains a deeply devastating and hurtful experience, as it must be for all artists who are victims of this type of crime.” -Madonna

Saudi Arabia plans to build wall to keep IS out | The Times of Israel

Saudi Arabia plans to build wall to keep IS out | The Times of Israel.

Her demonstreres IMOD Charlie Hebdo

Demonstrators burn the French flag on the Temple Mount on January 16, 2015 after Friday prayers at the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem to protest the depiction of the Prophet Muhammad in the French publication Charlie Hebdo this week. (screen capture: Shehab News Agency/Facebook)

Her skal man gnide øjnene endnu engang.

leave a comment »

(kopy/paste)

Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg (68), rabbi Moshe Twersky (60), Aryeh Kupinsky (43), rabbi Kalman Zeev Levine (55), Master Sergant Zidan Sif (30)
On November 17 2014 two Palestinian cousins Ghassan and Uday Abu Jamal entered the Kehilat Yaakov Synagogue in Jerusalem at 7am armed with knives, meat cleavers, hatchets and guns, and began opening fire and wildly slashing at the estimated 25 individuals inside. The attack killed five individuals including three US citizens holding dual US-Israel citizenships and a policeman responding to the attack, and injured six others including one more policeman who was injured during the shootout with the terrorists. Both attackers were from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, and were known associates of the terrorist organization the People’s Front for the Liberation of Palestine. In response to this attack, Israel’s Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich announced that weapons carrying restrictions would be temporarily eased for private security gaurds and off duty IDF soldiers. Police officer Master Sergant Zidan Sif, who gave his life protecting others, will be posthumously awarded the Israeli Medal of Distinguished Service, the third highest honor that can be bestowed on an Israeli officer. At Sif’s funeral the Rabbi of Kehilat Yaakov praised Sif for standing “like a wall” protecting the individuals inside.

Dalia Lamkus (25), Almog Shiloni (20)
A young woman, Dalia Lamkus was stabbed to death by an individual associated with the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization on November 10th. The suspect, Â Maher Hamdi A-Shalmon is a resident of Hebron and spent 5 years in prison from 2000-2005 for throwing a firebomb at IDF troops. 2 other individuals were stabbed during the attack as well, a 26 and a 50 year old man, who both sustained injuries that required medical attention. Earlier in the day an Israeli soldier Almog Shlioni was stabbed in a seperate incident while standing at a train station in Tel Aviv. He was treated for his multiple stab wounds at the scene and then airlifted to Sheba Medical Center where he succumbed to his stab wounds later that day. The suspect was apprehended and was turned over to the Shin Bet for interrogation.

Jedan Assad (38)
In a similar attack to the one that claimed the lives of a 3 month old child and a 22 year old woman on October 22, a Palestinian man drove his car into a light-rail station on November 5. The attack left one Israeli Border Police officer dead and 14 other individuals injured. The Border Police officer was identified as Jedan Assad, a Druze from Beit Jann. He leaves behind a 3 year old son and a wife 5 months pregnant with their next child. The terrorist drove the car into a crowd at a light-rail station, and then continued driving along the light-rail tracks before crashing his car and getting out brandishing a metal bar. He used the metal bar to attack Israeli police who were standing nearby, and was then shot by the officers. The man was later identified as Ibrahim al-Akary, a man whose brother had spent 19 years in an Israeli prison and was released as part of the Gilad Shalit deal.

Chaya Zissel Braun (3 months), Karen Mosquera (22)
On the afternoon of Wednesday October 22 a 3 month old baby girl was killed when a Palestinian individual rammed his car into a group of Israelis waiting for the light-rail train at the Ammunition Hill station. The individual attempted to flee the scene but was shot in the chest by Israeli security personnel and later died of the wounds in an Israeli hospital. The individual had a record of security related offenses and had served time in prison before. 8 other individuals were wounded in the attack, including Karen Mosquera who days later died of her wounds at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. Israeli police confirmed that the baby who was killed had an American passport and her parents were American citizens who had come to Israel to study in the Yeshiva. The following day, Hamas confirmed that the driver of the car was a member, and members of Fatah celebrated the martyrdom of the terrorist on Facebook and in the streets of Gaza. On November 19 the Israeli military levelled the home of the individual responsible for the attack.

Netanel Maman (21)
Maman was a soldier in the IDF but was not on duty when he was killed. A rocket struck near a car that he was sitting in and he succumbed to his wounds from shrapnel later in the week.

Ze’ev Etzion, (50)- Kibbutz Nirim; Shahar Melamed, (43)- Kibbutz Nirim.
These two men were killed in the hours before the extended cease-fire took effect on Tuesday August 26. They were killed by a mortar fired on their Kibbutz. Etzion was the Security Chief of the Kibbutz and Melamed was his Deputy.

Daniel Tregerman (4)
Daniel Tregerman was the first Israeli child casualty during Operation Protective Edge. He was killed by a mortar while his parents rushed to get his younger siblings into their home bomb shelter in Sha’ar HaNegev. He was laid to rest on Sunday August 24th.

Name Not Yet Released (37)
This victim was a civilian who had volunteered to distribute food parcels to Israeli soldiers near the Erez crossing with Gaza when he was critically wounded by mortar fire and later died of his injuries.

Naftali Frankel (16), Gilad Shaar (16), Eyal Yifracah (19)
Frankel, Shaar, and Yifrach were hitchhiking home from attending yeshiva in Gush Etzion when they disappeared. After a three week search their bodies were found near Halhul, a short drive away from where they wer abducted. This attack is the spark that began Operation Protective Edge.

Shelley Dadon (19) – Afula
Dadon’s body was found in a parking lot in Migdal Haemek with serious trauma including stab wounds. It took some time to solve the crime, but police determined she was killed for nationalistic reasons.

Baruch Mizrahi (47) – Modi’in
Mizrahi was an off duty senior police officer who was on his way to a holiday Seder when he was shot to death by Palestinian terrorists.

leave a comment »

“Oppression? Apartheid state? Persecution? Racism? A poll recently commissioned by Channel 10 and conducted by the Statnet research institute, which is headed by Israeli Arab statistician Yousef Makladeh, shows that the vast majority of Arabs living in Israel, including Judea and Samaria, would much rather live under Israeli administration than under the Palestinian Authority (PA). The Arabs participating in the poll were asked: “Under which authority do you prefer to live, Israel or the Palestinian Authority?” A whopping 77 percent preferred Israel. Professor Sammy Smooha, a sociologist from the University of Haifa, told the Jerusalem Post that the survey’s findings appear reasonable.”
